Purpose Of Drums In Music
The drums are the most powerful boon to the music. Drums were created to allow the person to play more rhythms simultaneously. The word ‘beat’ refers to the notation pulse in music. If you are playing 8 times, then beat applies to 8th note. If you are playing 19 times, then beat applies to 19th note and so on. These notes are combined to form rhytm. It does not mean to keep a beat. The use of drums in a band is that it supports rhythms and allows to communicate the melodious message. New Orleans used to have drumlines as the music required a percussive element. As we go on these bands got jazzier and they started playing in venues. At the beginning a single drummer was not capable of playing everything, then the drumset became developed so that a single guy could play everything. The drummers later on became popular, due to tremendously increase in popularity of modern music. The development of modern music caused from a heavy rhythmic element. And today I guess almost every band has drummers. A band without reliable and energetic drummer is a band without strong foundations.
