What are the different purposes of using drums?

Drums are considered to be one of the most useful instruments which can be used for various purposes. It is a part of the entertainment but at the same time, drums are used for some other purposes also.

Musical instrument:

Drums are mainly used as a musical instrument. With different kinds of songs, drums have now become an inevitable instrument that is going to be used. In various traditional rituals especially in the African countries, drums are considered as the most used instrument. They use drums for arranging different kinds of dances also. Various native dances of Africa are completely dependent on the use of the drums. African drumming can be considered as one of the most ancient drums found in the world for their different traditional programs.

Drums in the military:

In the various programs of the military and soldier department drums are commonly used. Drums are also used at the time of salutation. There are different kinds of drums which are used for different purposes.
