What is a Tom-tom drum
To the left side of bass drum, a drum with 8 inches deep is mounted and a drum with three legs of 16 inches deep is mounted on alternative to the bass drum and a drum with drum with 9 inches deep is placed on the right side of the bass drum, later tom-toms and hanging toms are mounted.
Single headed tom-toms
These are also known as concert toms are used in drum kits. They have single head and are well known in 1970s but lost their popularity gradually
Rototoms
They have single head and a steel frame and have definite pitch and they are tuned very fast just by rotating its head. Rotating the head decreases and increases tension in head
Gong bass drum
Gong bass drum has its head larger than shell and gong bass drum is a single headed tom and produces open sound, and has standard tom legs
Floor tom
It is mounted on three legs and is normally deepest toned drum. This is played by sticks and is above the bass drum.
