What are the types of drums?

If we don’t consider the special drums of different countries, then common drums are divided into two broad categories.

• Acoustic drums: it is the general type of drum set which you are most familiar with. There are different sized drums like bass, snare, tom and others which are made out of wood.

• Electric drums: here the drum pads replace the acoustic drums. The pads produce many sounds when you hit it. There is also huge software support behind producing different types of music from this.

• The first things which are taken into consideration are that, what is the purpose. If you kids want it, then there are drums which are specially designed for kids, in a pack of 3 or 4.

• If you have some big dreams, then acoustic drums will be the best to learn the basics.

• Electric drums are best for studio use and professionals. It looks cool, but the software support adds complication.
